It’s colder in Cincinnati today than in Juneau, Alaska.  This deep chill has sent my mind drifting to last years’ vacation in Quito, Ecuador

and more recently to Solidaridad just outside Playa del Carmen: warm, vibrant…and surprisingly modern.

Mexico and South America are replete with modern art, inventive architecture and minimalistic hotels, inns and resorts.  Thayer Coggin, featured at Switch Lighting & Design on Fourth, our new downtown Cincinnati lighting and furniture showroom, would be equally at home in these sun-drenched modern locales as in a cozy cabin,  a cloud capped high rise apartment or a toasty suburban Center-Hall colonial.
